These pictures were taken on the evening of March 13th, 2003. We were having a really spectacular Lightning Storm. I took my FUJI S602 Digital Camera outside to take the first half of these pictures. Then it began to rain, so I took the second half looking out a window from inside our house.

At first, I just tried a few short time exposures, but didn't get any lightning. Then, I set the camera on 1 second at F8 in multi-shot mode. The FUJI S602 allows you to take up to 25 pictures, one after another, but it only saves the last 5 when you release the shutter button. I held the shutter down, taking 1 second time exposures one right after another. As soon as I saw lightning appear in the viewfinder, I released the shutter button and it saved the last 5 pictures (including the 1 with the lightning). I took about 170 pictures to get the 8 on this web page.
